Cooling

Cooling components are intended primarily for mold applications, but can also be used for many other more general areas of mechanical engineering.
Characteristics
  • Type S cartridges: without thermocouple
  • Type NT cartridges: with thermocouple central to the cartridge
  • Type N cartridges: with thermocouple central to the cartridge
  • Type TCB cartridges: with thermocouple at the end of the cartridge
  • Straight Cool-Bridge: cooling channel bypass bridge for use where there is insufficient space between two components to allow conventional drilling, when patching is not an option or when a patch requires a supply
  • Inverted Straight Cool-Bridge: cooling channel bypass bridge for use where there is an offset between the cavity inlets/outlets and mold carcass
  • Cylindrical Crossover Cool-Bridge: used to allow one circuit to cross another at the same level using an open housing
  • Cylindrical Crossover Cool-Bridge: used to allow one circuit to cross another at the same level using a housing with one blind aperture

The purpose of thermal cooling is to channel calorific energy away from the tool, and maintain it at a given temperature. The most important effect of this control is to enable optimum solidification of the material inside molds.

The range includes many components for cooling channels, including bridges, cool bridges, connectors and plugs. A broad choice of fluid circuit connection couplings covers all the most commonplace requirements.

Our multipurpose quick-release and standard couplings, non-spill couplings and RMI reduced size couplings are all high-quality, reliable and robust products.

The range is completed by a choice of O-rings and cartridge heaters, which are very widely used to ensure the free flow of material within the channels of the mold.
